Layout Architecture: The Dynamic Circle
The logo uses an open circular structure. The circle is not only a visual reference to wheels (a key element of cars and motorcycles), but also serves as a "seal" of trust and belonging.
-
The red bands: The broken lines that make up the perimeter recall race tracks or classic racing decorations, conveying a sense of speed and rotational movement.
-
Airiness: The interruptions in the circle at the top and bottom allow for secondary text (Est. 2012 and Padua) without weighing down the composition.
Typographic choices: contrast and hierarchy
The design plays on the juxtaposition of three different styles to convey different nuances of the event:
-
"Northeast" (Script/Brush): The soft, italic font evokes the world of artisan workshops, hand-written lettering on fuel tanks (pinstriping), and the human and creative "custom" approach.
-
"Custom Show" (Sans-Serif Bold/Chrome): Here, the style becomes more mechanical and solid. The three-dimensional effect and metallic gradient recall the chrome of engines and the solidity of car bodies.
-
Block Font: A clean, modern sans-serif font was used for the date and city, ensuring maximum legibility even in small formats.
Iconographic symbolism: the balance of engines
The logo is inclusive and descriptive. Instead of choosing a single category, it positions the two pillars of the custom world mirroring each other:
-
Top (The Motorcycle): A silhouette of a bagger/cruiser pointing upward, a symbol of freedom and the "easy rider" aesthetic.
-
Bottom (The Car): A silhouette of a classic muscle car (1960s/1970s style), which roots the logo to the ground, conveying power and solidity. Both icons are created in flat black, a technical choice that allows the logo to function perfectly even in black and white or when printed on complex materials like metal or leather.

Chromatic study
The palette is limited but extremely impactful:
-
Gold/Ochre: Symbolizes value, the premium quality of the exhibited works, and the reference to vintage/brass.
-
Red and White: The color of motorsports passion, adrenaline, and energy, but above all, the colors of Padua, the birthplace of the NECC.
-
Black: Provides the structure and elegance needed to tie together the warm colors.
2026. The new name.
The transition from NE Custom Show to NE Chopper & Custom marks a natural progression after thirteen years of success and consistent growth. This evolution is not merely a matter of terminology, but rather reflects a desire to more explicitly celebrate the event's roots and soul. By including the word "Chopper" in the name, the intention was to pay homage to the most authentic and radical motorcycle culture, more precisely defining the event's character.
This is a return to the essence that, while continuing to embrace the entire customizing universe, aims to offer a clear statement of intent to exhibitors and visitors: a stronger, more focused identity deeply rooted in the history of two-wheeled design.
